The Winneconne Youth Archery Club S3DA team attended the WI S3DA State Outdoor Championship on June 8/9, 2024 at Twin City Rod and Gun Club.
The weekend kicked off on Saturday with the 3D State Championship, where participants competed in two 20-target qualifying rounds followed by shootoffs for the top 5 archers in each division. Winneconne had 14 archers participating in the 3D course. The morning round was very wet, experiencing downpours towards the end of scoring. Following a lunch break, the sun came out and the weather improved for the afternoon round.
Podium finishes for Winneconne included:
Clara Miller - Jr Eagle Female Barebow State Champion
Aria Walker - Jr Eagle Female Pins State Champion
Bryson Reese - Eagle Male Open State Champion
Ayden Walker - Eagle Male Barebow State Champion
Grace Miller - Eagle Female Pins State Champion
In addition Winneconne Youth Archery took home the team championship for the Eagle division, having the highest combined score for five archers in the division.

Sunday continued with the Outdoor Target State Championship. 12 archers from Winneconne shot this day. Winds were strong and inconsistent throughout the day, presenting a challenge to all the archers attending. Podium finishes for this round included:
Clara Miller - Jr Eagle Female Barebow State Champion
Bryson Reese - Jr Eagle Male Open State Champion
Ayden Walker - Eagle Male Barebow State Champion
Claudia Heideman - Youth Female Barebow State Champion
Winneconne Youth Archery took home the Eagle team championship for the Outdoor Target round as well.
We want to express our immense gratitude to the Twin City Rod and Gun Club for hosting the weekend event, and to all the dedicated volunteers who contributed to its success! We are truly proud of our archers, and this event served as a fantastic conclusion to the in-state season.
