The Winneconne Youth Archery team has concluded a remarkable indoor season, showcasing their talent and dedication at both the state and national levels. Their achievements culminated in a strong showing at the 2025 S3DA Eastern Indoor Target National Championship in Owensboro, KY, from February 27th to March 2nd, where 968 archers competed, including four from the Winneconne Youth Archery team.


Prior to nationals, the team competed at the Wisconsin S3DA State Indoor Target Championship held in Fond du Lac on February 22nd. An impressive 29 archers from Winneconne attended the state championship. Notably, the Winneconne Youth Archery team won the Eagle team championship, achieving a combined score of 1490 out of 1500 from their top five archers in that age division.


Individual state championship medal winners included:


* Grace Miller - Eagle Female Pins - 1st Place

* Clara Miller - Jr Eagle Female Barebow - 1st Place

* Ayden Walker - Youth Male Barebow - 1st Place

* Allison Reese - Jr Eagle Female Open - 2nd Place

* Mason Starr - Eagle Male Open - 2nd Place

* Nova Peart - Eagle Female Open - 2nd Place

* Garrett Binder - Eagle Male Open - 3rd Place

* Graysen Stoltenow - Eagle Male Pins - 3rd Place


In addition to those who placed on the podium, we had the following archers attending the state championship:

* Kenden Thom - Youth Male Pins - 12th Place

* Brennan Stobbe - Eagle Male Pins - 14th Place

At the national championship in Owensboro, Brennan Stobbe, Ayla Stobbe, Clara Miller, and Grace Miller represented Winneconne, each competing against top youth archers from across the eastern United States.

Amidst the large field of competitors, Grace Miller delivered a strong performance in the Eagle Female Pins class. Facing 58 competitors within her class, Grace displayed exceptional accuracy and consistency. In her first round, she achieved a score of 150 with 27 "x's" (bullseyes). She then followed up with a spectacular second round, achieving a perfect score of 150 with 30 "x's," securing a hard-fought second-place finish.


"We are incredibly proud of all our archers who competed at both the Wisconsin S3DA State Indoor Target Championship and the national championships," said Ryan Miller, head coach of Winneconne Youth Archery. "Beyond the scores and placements, what truly stands out is the growth I've seen in each archer – their self-confidence, their skills, and the strong friendships they've built. That's what makes this team so special. They represent the Winneconne community with pride."


With the indoor season concluded, the team will now begin training for the outdoor season, which includes both 3D and Outdoor Target disciplines. The Winneconne Youth Archery team continues to train and develop young athletes, fostering a passion for the sport and promoting values of discipline and focus.
